Starry Night Events is a full service event planning and elevated floral design company founded by Tanya McGann Cornwell.  She had been dabbling in events, weddings, and florals part time for over 17 years and officially turned her passion into a full time career in early 2018. 

 

Tanya graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Sport Management and Business in 2001.  If she wasn’t on the field as the feature baton twirler for the Marching Royal Dukes, she was helping friends and campus organizations with their events.  She has had a knack for organization, wearing many hats, and making others smile since was a little girl.  Tanya has always been successful at running events- whether they were sporting events for her beloved Dukes, the Richmond Spiders, or weddings and parties for her friends and family.  Throughout the years, she has been honored to help with hundreds of events in the Richmond area and destination locations. 

 

Tanya often jokes she would like to be followed by a video camera for an entire wedding day to watch just what a planner and floral designer actually does.  She knows it would be extremely entertaining to watch it in fast forward mode.  Tanya takes pride in going above and beyond to make every wedding perfect and exactly what the couple wants. 

 

When Tanya isn’t planning your next event or designing exquisite florals you can find her at Sunset Beach, NC, walking the beach finding shells, visiting her most loved destination Walt Disney World with her family and friends, or wearing purple and gold and cheering on her JMU Dukes with her college besties!  She also loves to spend time supporting her boys at their schools and extracurricular activities. 

 

Tanya treats her clients and team as part of her family, so it isn’t a surprise to see Tanya’s husband and boys helping the SNE team members at events.
